On December 14, Ukraine honors the participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident. This is the day of courageous and selfless people whose feat cannot be overestimated. The heroism, patriotism, and professional skill of the participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident have been tested by time. We have no right to forget their sacrifice. Many of them did not live to see us today, having given their lives to preserve the lives and health of future generations. Today, we express sincere words of gratitude and honor all the liquidators for their courage, and we bow our heads in memory of the deceased.
